We're looking for a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for an immediate travel opening in Spokane, WA.The right SPT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience and the following qualifications.ResponsibilitiesPerforms decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, wrapping and sterilization of instruments and trays for use in surgical services.Competent in operation of disinfection and sterilization equipment.Performs and records Biological and Chemical monitoring of equipment.Maintains record of load contents associated with operation of sterilizers.Performs environmental sanitation of Surgical Services department as assigned.Assists in operating room turnover/environmental sanitation-equipment needs.Assists surgical personnel with maintaining appropriate inventory of instruments and supplies.Competent in disinfection and processing of flexible endoscopes.Utilizes PPE per infection control guidelines.QualificationsMust have 1 year of experience.Must have BLS and SPT (IAHCSMM-CRCST or CBSPD-CSPDT) certification.Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.Requirements*: BLS, CBSPD, CRCST, 2 Years.Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
