Position OverviewKrueger Sheet Metal is seeking a dependable and motivated Sheet Metal Worker to join our fabrication team. This position focuses on the manufacturing of custom stainless steel equipment, architectural sheet metal products, and specialty fabrication projects.This is a union position. Applicants do not need to currently be union members to apply; however, employees will be required to join the union after hire in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.We are looking for individuals who take pride in quality workmanship, are willing to learn, and can work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Candidates who are willing and able to travel for installs are strongly preferred . Travel assignments can last up to the full work week with crews returning home for weekends.ResponsibilitiesFabricate custom sheet metal products from shop drawings and specificationsOperate fabrication equipment including:Press brakesShearsRoll formersWeldersGrinding and finishing equipmentPerform layout, forming, assembly, and finishing work on stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, etc.Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production instructionsMaintain quality standards and ensure products are built accurately and efficientlyWork safely and maintain a clean work environmentCoordinate with shop supervisors and project managers to complete projects successfully and on scheduleQualificationsPrevious sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to accurately read a tape measureAbility to read and interpret architectural and fabrication drawingsStrong attention to detail and workmanshipWelding experience is requiredMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnReliable attendance and good work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive union wages based on experiencePensionHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid sick leaveThe pay Range for this position is $30.31 - $52.83 per hour DOE#J-18808-Ljbffr
