Work EnvironmentThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:Requires prolonged sitting or standingRequires occasional physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull and push heavy objects or materialsOccasional lifting/moving boxes up to 75 poundsSome stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching, and significant fine finger dexterityAbility to work in 34°F – 40°F for significant periods of timeNoise level is moderate to noisyESSENTIAL DUTIESEnsure compliance with all internal and external food production regulations and legislation.Establish, coordinate and enforce operational procedures and standards to ensure high product quality is produced.Organize and plan for current and long‑term goals along with having a contingency plan for unpredictable outcomes.Coordinate processing department activities such as product preparation, cutting, sorting, packaging and cleaning.Manage and inspect quality of received product, trimmed product, and waste.Manage the overall production of processed produce for shipment to our customers and ensure the final product meets set specifications.Assign tasks appropriately, using all resources and support available to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards, and appraise the results.Walk processing department daily to identify sanitation issues and address.Monitor the physical condition of the processing department and all food production equipment within the department, ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met.Ensure training is completed for processing personnel.Act as liaison between all departments and processing.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSFood production industry experience preferred.Fresh produce experience preferred.Ability to adapt to changes quickly and make production decisions as needed.Must have supervisor, time‑management and decision‑making skills.Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Excellent communication skills and ability to interact tactfully and effectively with all business operators and diverse company personnel.Must be able to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screen, and continue to satisfy the company's drug testing policy, if offered employment.Ability to work in a drug‑free workplace that prohibits marijuana use for all employees.BENEFITSCompetitive compensation starting at $18.00+ hourly depending on experience.Medical, dental, vision, and company‑paid life insurance (coverage available from the first of the month after 60 days).Paid time off and paid holidays.401(k) with employer match.Coverage under state sick leave.Employee Assistance Program.Paid on‑the‑job training.Job stability.Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company – we do promote within.Employee discounts on in‑house purchases.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability or protected veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
