Shipping and Receiving AssociateThe Shipping and Receiving Associate supports the shipping and receiving department by palletizing steel loads, preparing orders for dispatch, and ensuring materials are safely and efficiently loaded onto trucks and moved out of the facility.ResponsibilitiesPalletize loads of steel according to shipping requirements and safety standards.Load and unload steel and other materials from trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.Assist with all general labor tasks related to shipping and receiving operations.Organize and stage materials for outbound shipments to ensure timely dispatch.Handle incoming shipments, including receiving, moving, and placing materials in designated areas.Build and secure loads to prevent damage during transport.Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and handling heavy materials.Work both indoors and outdoors to support daily shipping and receiving activities.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping and receiving operations.Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding general labor tasks.Proficiency in palletizing materials and building secure loads.Ability to operate a forklift safely.Ability to operate a pallet jack safely.Experience working with metal products.Strong attention to safety and detail in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a warehouse or industrial environment.Comfort working with both indoor and outdoor materials handling.Reliability and strong work ethic with a focus on completing tasks efficiently.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members.Why Work Here?Join a hands-on, operations-focused environment where your contribution directly supports efficient shipping and receiving processes.
